Under the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act,  38-2-1 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to obtain copies of public records regarding the salaries of the staff members who work for the Employees' Retirement System of Rhode Island.  Specifically, the information I would like to obtain is:

The a) first name, b) last name, c) job title and d) compensation received by all investment staff and the executive director in fiscal years 2001 to 2018, broken out by all applicable compensation types- including but not limited to net annual salary, bonuses, deferred compensation, and matched profit sharing, and any other compensation.

We write in response to your December 9, 2019 request for information pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act (APRA).  Your specific request is noted below along with our corresponding response.

 

The a) first name, b) last name, c) job title and d) compensation received by all investment staff and the executive director in fiscal years 2001 to 2018, broken out by all applicable compensation types- including but not limited to net annual salary, bonuses, deferred compensation, and matched profit sharing, and any other compensation.

If you contend you have been denied access to public records, pursuant to R.I.G.L. § 38-2-8, you may appeal this decision to Amy Crane, General Counsel, 50 Service Avenue, 2nd Floor, Warwick, RI 02886.  You may also file a complaint with the Department of the Attorney General, 150 South Main Street, Providence, RI  02903 or the Rhode Island Superior Court of the county where the records are maintained.
