This letter serves as a Public Records Request, under the provisions of the State’s Freedom of Information Act and any other relevant related statutes, for the following information:

 

  • Copies of unclaimed property audit commencement letters sent by the State to examination candidates/targets indicating the commencement of an examination by the State within the last 30 days, whether the State is using internal resources or the services of a third-party.

 

As this request is made in accordance with the State’s Freedom of Information Act, we request your response within 15 business days of receipt of this letter.  We will reimburse the state for any reasonable costs associated with the provision of these documents.

Copies of unclaimed property audit commencement letters sent by the State to examination candidates/targets indicating the commencement of an examination by the State within the last 30 days, whether the State is using internal resources or the services of a third-party.

There are no documents responsive to your request.

If you contend you have been denied access to public records, pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws §38-2-8, you may appeal this decision to Amy L. Crane, General Counsel for the Rhode Island General Treasurer’s Office, 50 Service Avenue, 2nd Floor, Warwick, RI 02886.  You may also file a complaint with the Department of the Attorney General, 150 South Main Street, Providence, RI 02903 or the Rhode Island Superior Court of the county where the records are maintained.
