Request #17-14

In accordance to Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, §38-2-1 et seq., I am requesting copies of any PC purchase orders with connected quotes made by the Office of the General Treasurer agency dated from 12/07/16-02/07/17.  I would prefer electronic copies of purchase orders and quotes, but another document (like a spreadsheet) is perfectly acceptable if it includes the information contained on purchase orders including: purchase order number, PC model, PC specifications, mfg./sku. number, unit price, total price, vendor, and date.

I apologize for the confusion if you are not responsible for records requests.  If that is the case, I would appreciate it if you would let me know where to direct this.

If this request will be difficult to fulfill or there’s a way to make it easier for you (such as redefining the terms to look at purchases from a specific vendor or commodity class), I encourage you to contact me so we may find a way to work it out.

If there are fees present for this request, please inform me of the cost and get my authorization before proceeding.  However, I would like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is best for the public interest and will greatly contribute to the public’s understanding of Rhode Island's PC purchases.

If you intend to deny this request, I respectfully request a response in writing within the timeframe described by law.  If you deny any part of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.  Furthermore, if you expect a significant delay in fulfilling this request, please contact me with information about the prospective timeline.
